Reverend Joe H. Todd was born and raised in Pastoria, AR where he received his formal education at the Sherrill School District. He married his wife Erma Todd and to this union four daughters were born.
While under the leadership of Pastor Robert Sims at the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church Reverend Todd was a member of the choir, a trustee, and also ordained as a Deacon in 1975. After obeying God's call, he preached his first public sermon on April 8, 1979 and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel on November 8, 1980. He then obeyed God's voice to begin the Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church which was organized on December 17, 1983. The church began with 5 members and has grown under the leadership of Pastor Joe H. Todd to over 600 members, and has birthed a daughter church.
